Prairie View A&M University Engineering Classroom and Research Building Groundbreaking

Prairie View A&M University recently broke ground on its $50 million classroom and research building. In attendance for the ceremonial groundbreaking were more than a dozen university and system administrators, donors, and students, all with gleaming shovels decorated with purple-and-gold bows. With this new building, the Roy G. Perry College of Engineering will support undergraduate education, student innovation, and research. It will house computer labs and special computational labs to support the data sciences, wet labs for the biomedical sciences, specialized engineering classrooms, general purpose classrooms, smart manufacturing labs, a suite for the dean, and administrative offices and support spaces. The project is slated to reach substantial completion by August 2023. The architect for the project is Stantec Architecture.
