Sam Houston State University, Lowman Student Center Renovation

Vaughn is serving as the construction manager-at-risk for the interior renovation of the student center, a thriving hub of campus life. We are renovating all three floors, focusing on the highest-impact areas. Level 1 functions as the social floor, Level 2 serves as the main entrance, and Level 3 is dedicated to office and meeting space. The renovation also connects the three levels together to better facilitate movement through the new expansion. Our biggest challenge involved demolishing and rebuilding portions of the occupied spaces without interrupting the occupants. We strategically phased the project so displaced staff could move back into their space before beginning work in the next portion.
