Brazos County, Medical Examiners Office Tops Out

100 representatives from Vaughn, Brazos County, Broaddus & Associates, PGAL, Walter P Moore, Johnston, LLC, WJE, and Tom Green and Company, and trade partners celebrated the topping out of the Brazos County, Medical Examiners Office!

The new facility's key feature will be its partnership with Texas A&M University’s School of Medicine. Medical students can take electives at the office, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the county’s efforts. There are only 500 practicing forensic pathologists in the United States, less than half of the estimated need for 1,100 professionals.

“The topping out milestone allows us to celebrate the team’s hard work as we near the finish line,” said a Vaughn project engineer. “I learn something new every day and value the relationships we have built across the project.”

The 22,000 SF facility will serve Brazos County and adjacent counties within a 100-mile radius. The building features offices for up to nine full-time employees and will serve as a training space for the Texas A&M University School of Medicine, law enforcement, and other related fields.
