Vaughn Selected to Build Two New Research Facilities in West Texas
West Texas A&M University celebrated the groundbreaking of two new facilities to support the university's mission to build the strongest livestock program in the nation. The new Veterinary Education, Research and Outreach facility (VERO) is planned with more than 22,000 SF of multidisciplinary research space. The second facility, the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL), will provide 11,233 SF of laboratory space for bacteriology, pathology, serology, and virology as well as necropsy receiving and support. The two facilities address the shortage of large animal veterinarians in Texas. The project architect is Perkins+Will.
