Blinn College celebrated the grand opening of its Walter C. Schwartz Building at the RELLIS Campus with more than 700 people and local VIPs in attendance. The new facility is designed to provide technical and career workforce education classes as
well as skills upgrade classes in accounting, marketing, criminal justice, health sciences, carpentry, electrical, facilities maintenance, plumbing, and HVAC. These courses are designed to build a skilled workforce to fill the state's current labor
gap and employ students sooner. The new four-story education center features dedicated laboratories for biology, physics, chemistry, and biochemistry. The $26 million, 83,000 SF building also includes a testing center, individual study rooms, classrooms,
gathering spaces, and faculty offices. Adorned with masonry, glass, and metal panels, this building is situated on the north side of the RELLIS campus. The facility was designed by Kirksey Architecture. Learn more about this project.
