Collin College Celina Campus Breaks Ground

Collin College recently broke ground on its new 75-acre, $40.7 million Celina campus. Despite the cold weather, rainy conditions and wet grounds, there was enthusiasm felt for the new college by the city leaders, college leaders and Collin County dignitaries who attended. Phase one of the new campus includes two academic buildings totaling 96,000 SF and a 430-space parking lot. The buildings will contain classrooms, labs and administrative offices to support over 2,500 students. The new campus will provide higher education opportunities to the growing cities of Collin County, offering academic transfer courses, programs in business management, computer-aided drafting and design, information technology and health professions. The substantial completion for this project is slated for June 2021. The architect is The Beck Group.
