The University of Houston recently offered invited guests, including Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a sneak peek of its new $80 million College of Medicine building. At the event, guests were given the opportunity to sign a portion of the cladding that will be featured in the building.
The three-story, 130,000 SF College of Medicine will be a fully functional medical school and clinic featuring a state-of-the-art gross anatomy lab, clinical skills lab, practice patient examination rooms, and large classrooms for team-based learning. When complete in summer 2022, it will be the first building for the new medical school campus, located on 43 acres of previously undeveloped property just south of the central campus. The architect is Page.
