Vaughn Dallas Team Recognized as Merit Award Winner at TEXO Distinguished Building Awards

TEXO recently recognized Vaughn as a Merit Award recipient at the Distinguished Buildings Awards Recognition Dinner for the University of North Texas at Frisco Campus project.

The 142,000 square feet, four-story Frisco campus, located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, houses a variety of state-of-the-art classrooms, study and social spaces, and collaborative spaces to educate and train students. The building features high-end materials, including 45,000 square feet of polished terrazzo flooring, 30,000 square feet of slatted wood ceilings, 13 different types of ceilings, and extensive audio/visual equipment in all the classrooms and collaborative spaces. Our scope of work also included a 125-foot monumental bell tower with channel-set glass and integrated lighting, a 200-space surface parking lot, and new site utilities to support the new campus and future growth.

“There were many different general contractors and projects at the TEXO awards dinner,” said a Vaughn project manager. “It was an honor to be recognized.”

The TEXO Distinguished Building Awards are recognized as one of the most prestigious awards in the nation. As a Merit Award winner, Vaughn is eligible to compete in the National ABC Excellence in Construction Awards.
