Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) recently selected Vaughn Construction as the construction manager-at-risk for the new 45,000 SF Holliday Training Facility. The building will house full mock cells in reception area, a large open physical training room with a perimeter catwalk, multiple classrooms, video rooms, and administrative space. Separate buildings will provide a six-lane, 50-yard firing range and 80-occupant living barracks.
“Our experience with similar projects, particularly the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences , helped us secure this bid against two other firms,” explained a Vaughn assistant project manager. “The client valued our in-house quality control department and Vaughn’s commitment to turning over a quality project. We are excited to work with TDCJ on this new project.”
