Vaughn Selected as Construction Manager-at-Risk for Prairie View A&M University’s Teaching & Academic Student Support Services Facility

Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) recently named Vaughn the construction manager-at-risk for the new 42,082 SF Teaching and Academic Student Support Services Facility. The two-story building centralizes student support services. The first floor offers flexible classrooms, a Career Closet, an Industry Partner Lounge, and a Writing and Tutoring Center. The second floor houses staff offices, a student lounge with study areas, a testing center, and widened circulation for informal interaction.

Our partnership with Prairie View A&M University dates back to the Science Building project in 1999, where we constructed a new facility to support the expansion of PVAMU’s biology, chemistry, and physics departments. The Teaching and Academic Student Support Services Facility will be our 18th project with the university.

“The PVAMU campus needed to combine student affairs and services into one building location on campus,” said a Vaughn construction director. “Currently, these services and departments are in multiple buildings on campus and do not meet the needs for providing these services. Following the construction of the new Teaching and Academic Student Support Services Facility, the university will have the proper space needed to serve its students better.”

The project is slated to be completed substantially in fall 2026. We look forward to sharing more as the project progresses.
