Austin Independent School District recently selected Vaughn as the construction manager-at-risk for the new 54,221 SF Martin Middle School modernization. The project will revitalize the learning environment through a comprehensive interior refresh across two floors and deliver exterior site improvements. The upgrades will modernize the school's infrastructure with new MEP systems and enhance student and faculty accessibility with improvements to the north side campus drive. Originally built in 1967, the upgrades will benefit the community by providing updated, high-quality learning spaces for 240 seventh- and eighth-grade students.
“Martin Middle School’s modernization will significantly benefit students,” said a Vaughn project engineer. “As someone from Austin, I am thrilled to contribute to a project that will serve the youth in my hometown.”
Vaughn is proud to partner with Austin ISD on projects that will improve our communities, such as the Martin Middle School modernization and new Pecan Springs Elementary. The project is slated to be completed substantially in spring 2027, and we look forward to sharing more as it progresses.
