Cook Children’s Medical Center, Las Vegas Trail Neighborhood Center

Representatives from Vaughn, Cook Children’s, JPS Health Network, Oculus, and trade partners celebrated the grand opening of the Cook Children’s Las Vegas Trail (LVT) Neighborhood Center. The center is a first-of-its kind partnership between JPS Health Network, Cook Children’s Health Care System, The City of Fort Worth, LVTRise and WestAid.

“We have dreamt of this type of project to come true and to see it actually happening is really exciting,” said Veronica Tolley, vice president of primary and specialty services. “To see the staff, the leadership and the various stakeholders throughout Cook Children’s ready to pour into this community, it feels like I’m living my dream.”

The 36,000 SF facility, for which Vaughn Construction served as construction manager-at-risk, will serve over 20,000 children and countless families in the Fort Worth area. It offers a wide range of pediatric, adult, and social medical services, along with a Fort Worth Police storefront. The center is designed to be a comprehensive health hub, supporting personal safety, medical care, food security, financial stability, and strong family foundations.

“This project reflects the power of collaboration and purpose-driven work,” said a Vaughn project manager. “We are honored to contribute to a space that will serve and strengthen the community for years to come.”
