JPS Health Network celebrated the grand opening of the Psychiatric Emergency Center, for which Vaughn served as construction manager-at-risk. As the only psychiatric emergency center in the county, the new facility represents a major step forward in providing accessible, around-the-clock behavioral health care.
“This new center reflects our commitment to treating every patient with dignity, safety, and respect,” said Jill Farrell, chief operating officer. “We had over 18,000 patients visit our psychiatric emergency centers in the past year, and over 400 required inpatient care. This facility will ensure our patients and families will receive timely and compassionate care in an environment designed for healing.”
The Psychiatric Emergency Center will operate 24/7, serving both adults and adolescents experiencing severe mental health emergencies. A dedicated entrance for first responders ensures a safer, more private experience for both patients and emergency personnel. The facility is equipped to meet the growing demand for psychiatric services in the region.
“With more than two million residents in Tarrant County and rising mental health needs, the new Psychiatric Emergency Center is a critical investment in the well-being of the community,” said a Vaughn project manager. “Vaughn is honored to build a facility that will help individuals and families navigating mental health crises."
