Texas State Technical College Harlingen, Technology Building Celebrates Grand Opening

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) Harlingen celebrated the grand opening of its new Transportation Technologies and Electrical Lineworker Technology Center, for which Vaughn served as construction manager-at-risk. The 86,000 SF Transportation Technologies Center will support programs in automotive technology, diesel equipment technology, whereas the Lineworker Technology Center added new teaching labs providing students with hands-on training and access to cutting edge tools that prepare them for high-demand careers in Texas’s growing industries.

Mike Reeser, TSTC chancellor, emphasized the importance of the new building and the career opportunities it will create for students in the community. He expressed gratitude to everyone who made the project possible, including the trade partners, TSTC facilities team, architects, and engineers.

“Witnessing the ribbon cutting was a deeply meaningful and proud moment for our team,” said a Vaughn project engineer. “Seeing the excitement of the end users and knowing they will benefit from the space we built makes all the hard work worth it.”
