A joint investment between Children’s Health and UT Southwestern Medical Center is poised to transform pediatric healthcare in Dallas. McCarthy Vaughn Partnership, a joint venture between McCarthy Building Companies and Vaughn Construction, is spearheading the construction efforts. The 33-acre development will encompass a staggering 4.5 million SF, boasting two 12-story and one eight-story towers, and over 6,000 parking spaces. The hospital will be the region's only Level I pediatric trauma center, with 90 emergency room pods and 25 observation rooms, increasing emergency department capacity by 15 percent. The project officially began its pre-construction phase in October 2022 and is slated for completion in September 2030, with the first patients welcomed in March 2031.
