Associated General Contractors-Texas Building Branch recently recognized Vaughn Construction at the Outstanding Construction Awards for the Austin Community College Highland Campus, Make It Center; Texas Medical Center, TMC3 Collaborative Building; and UT Health Science Center at San Antonio, Mays Cancer Center

“It is an honor to be recognized for three Outstanding Construction Awards,” said a Vaughn project manager. “We look forward to continuing our work on projects that make a positive impact on our communities.”

Austin Community College’s Make It Center offers a world of career options as a place that will inform, inspire, and turn passions into a career. The 10,000 SF high-tech interactive space for prospective students contains audio-visual (A/V) holograms, virtual reality stations, display walls, and other high-end A/V equipment, complemented by custom metal panels and wood finishes.

The 250,000 SF TMC3 Collaborative Building serves as a global hub for innovative research. The five-story building fosters collaboration between academic institutions and industry partners through a 43,000 SF joint research lab. Office areas provide vibrant co-working spaces for brainstorming sessions, shared ideas, and unintentional collisions with the building’s diverse researchers, allowing groundbreaking research to transform into tangible realities.

The Mays Cancer Center at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio offers the South Texas community specialized cancer care. The 200,000 SF multi-story facility comprises three interconnected buildings focusing on specific cancers, innovative immunotherapy treatments, and clinical trials.
