Three Vaughn Projects Recognized at Associated General Contractors’ Apex Awards

Associated General Contractors (AGC) Houston recently recognized Vaughn Construction at the 2024 Apex Awards for the TMC3 Collaborative Building, TMC3 Helix Park and Gardens, and First Baptist Church of Bryan projects.

The 250,000 SF TMC3 Collaborative Building received a gold Apex award. The five-story building is a global hub for innovative research and fosters collaboration between academic institutions and industry partners through a 43,000 SF joint research lab.

The Helix Park Gardens, a five-helix-shaped public green space, received a silver Apex award. The park offers an expansive, welcoming meeting space for outdoor receptions, concerts, graduations, and events.

The 37,500-steel structure addition to the existing First Baptist Church of Bryan (FBCB) also won a silver Apex Award. The first floor caters to young adults with a College Life and Worship space, while a welcoming coffee shop fosters community. Upstairs, two multi-purpose rooms, six adult ministry classrooms, two children’s ministry classrooms, and three additional classrooms offer flexibility for FBCB’s growing needs.

"We are thrilled to have won gold and silver awards at AGC’s Apex Awards," said a Vaughn senior project manager. "Thank you to our teams for their hard work and dedication to these projects."
