Project Overview

This project included construction of a new five-level, open parking structure. Our scope included 16,537 SF of enclosed shell space for future retail and office areas. The remaining 304,145 SF provides parking for 750 vehicles. The parking structure is a cast-in-place, post-tension concrete structure with metal panel and stucco finishes along the exterior.

Unique Challenge

Two years prior to this project, the campus experienced a crane collapse that ended in tragedy. This project was the first to use a crane since that time. Being sensitive to this situation, our team encouraged the involvement of campus representatives when planning the crane erection. The plan was vetted and presented to multiple campus groups before implementation and the crane was installed in accordance with the approved plan.
